Delete Account

You can delete your Morshed account at any time. Morshed is made by BugSquad Software. This page explains the two ways to delete your account, in the app or by email, and what happens to your data.
Delete your account in the app
This is the quickest way.
- Open Morshed and tap the Profile tab.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Privacy & Security.
- Tap Delete Account, then confirm in the dialog that appears.
In short: Profile → Account → Privacy & Security → Delete Account.
Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
Delete your account without the app
If you can't or don't want to use the app, you can ask us by email instead. You don't need the app for this.
- Email support@morshedapp.bugsquad.co from any email address, with the subject "Account deletion request". Include your registered phone number, the one you sign in with.
- We send a code by SMS to that number.
- Reply to our email with the code.
- Once the code is verified, we delete your account within 30 days.
We never delete an account on the strength of an email alone. The SMS code shows that the request comes from the person who holds the number.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we delete the following:

| Your sessions | Ended: you are signed out of every device |
What is kept
Some of what you shared stays on Morshed after your account is deleted, and we keep some records for safety and legal reasons.

| Moderation and trust records, reports and flags | Kept for safety and legal reasons, linked to the anonymised account. |
| Emails you send us, including your deletion request | Kept as long as needed to handle your request. |
| Server logs | For a limited period for security and to meet legal obligations, then deleted. |

How long it takes
- In the app: your account is deleted immediately.
- By email: we delete your account within 30 days after we verify your SMS code.
- Login codes and session records are deleted 30 days after they expire.
